Consider for a moment the wide range of color and texture found within nature all around us. It is this wonder, intensity and composition which I aim to capture and reflect in my stained glass artwork and gifts.
Working in my East Tennessee studio under the watchful eyes of my pet rabbit, Shadow, I am in my Happy Place. The sheets of glass which I carefully choose to work with, makes my intricate stained glass products different from other traditional artists. Pleasure flows from my eyes to my hands and into the work.
As a stained glass artist with more than 42 years of experience, I have spent countless hours honing my craft, searching for inspiration, perfecting my technique and developing my style. Not only has my art been featured around the southeastern US (including the Knoxville Museum of Art gift shop), some can also be found throughout the world. I’ve created special stained glass windows and donated them to churches in Guatemala, Mexico, Africa and Belize. For 29 years I was Dollywood’s resident stained glass master craftsman which entailed demonstrating and teaching glass techniques to thousands of park visitors. I have had the privilege and pleasure to study under several teachers of glass methods around the world. All of these experiences have enabled me to transform my passion into a very rewarding career.
